Wayne Hamilton was my 3GGU. He was a member of Co D, 8th Texas Cavalry (Terry’s Texas Rangers) and was wounded at the Second Battle of Murfreesboro (The Battle of Stones River) on 31 Dec 1862. He died from his wounds 24 Jan 1863 at a Confederate military hospital in Ringgold, Georgia. His burial site …
