Been pretty busy this week with non-genealogy activities, but did get started on my Bennett clan. If I were to do a one-family study, these guys would be high up on the list! They started out in San Saba, Texas of the late 1800′s- which was apparently the Texas equivalent to Matt Dillon’s Dodge City, then several of the brothers moved to Wyoming in the early 1900′s and lived as cattle ranchers in the rugged young state.
I am fortunate and thankful to have gotten a CD full of document/photo images from an online Bennett cousin, so it’s taking a bit longer to get all the data and sources into my database. Not that that’s a bad thing…
