Notes from the past…

Last week’s research activities

Wow, how fast does a week go by! I got a lot done last week, not as much as I would have liked. Just couldn’t seem to stay awake after all that turkey… :)

  • Research and document my findings for
  1. Millie A Armstrong
  2. Minnie Manning
  3. Rupert Anthony Maultsby
  4. Joseph Edwin Maultsby
  5. Charles Butler Maultsby
  • Update both my Freepages site and WorldConnect database and email a RootsMagic backup to my Gmail account
  • Add 2 direct-line ancestors to my research wiki
  • Keep working on the headstone photos at Chatt-Jessie Cemetery

I am currently researching/documenting 2GGU Dr Thomas Joshua Bennett. Lots of work to do here. Dr Bennett was a very prominent (president of the Texas Medical Society!) and frequently-mentioned-in-the-newspapers-of-the-time Texas physician of the late 1800′s-early 1900′s. Not only was he seen in the newspapers as a physician, but he was also an automobile nut! I’m talking 1904 automobiles, with little resemblance to our cars of today. He was the president of an Austin, Texas automobile club and was involved in a least 3 serious accidents, one that killed a pedestrian. No anti-lock brakes or seat belts in those days!

My 4GGF Joshua F Bennett and 3 GGM Nancy Elizabeth Brevard were added to my research wiki.

Didn’t get anything done with my headstone photos. Just not enough hours in the day, I guess…

Plans for next week:

  • Research and document my findings for
  1. Thomas Joshua Bennett
  2. George Bennett
  3. Benjamin F Bennett
  4. William Bennett
  5. Charles Andrew Bennett
  • Update both my Freepages site and WorldConnect database and email a RootsMagic backup to my Gmail account
  • Add 2 direct-line ancestors to my research wiki
  • Keep working on the headstone photos at Chatt-Jessie Cemetery
