I don’t have as much data on my Carrico ancestors as I’d like. My second great-grandfather Crist Hayes Carrico was one of my major brick walls until about 3 years ago. The kindness of a fellow ROAGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) volunteer shattered that wall in a matter of days and revealed the heart-breaking story of a man lost to alcohol and a broken family.
