Wow, what happened to the last 2 weeks? Been so busy working and doing non-genealogy things… no time left for the ancestors! Ever so sorry, my Oldies-But-Goodies!
The holidays have been a busy time and I’ve thought a lot about my family history (guilt!), but just haven’t gotten any genea-work done. Like that term, Randy?
Anyway, after I clean up all the candy wrappers and empty Dr Pepper cans (I seem to have been on a bender the past couple of days… Had to do something to stay warm during our official Christmas Eve Blizzard!), it’s back to work.
The last few days has flown by! Busy with Hanukkah and other family things, not much time for genealogy.
I did create a new page here at Bluebonnet Country Genealogy for my e-books. Publications now contains my Mom’s Red Photo Album, as well as the books I created for Isaac Turner’s and Nathan Kennedy’s Civil War military files. I had already created both of the military files e-books as pdfs at Lulu, but I transferred them to Issuu, then embedded them here at my site. I really like the way Issuu handles pdf files, the-books have that nice page-flipping effect. I’ll eventually transfer Mom’s Red Photo Album to Issuu, but I’ll have to revise it first.
It’s been almost 11 years, Mom, and I miss you and think of you often.
We’re all doing well. I think Dad is happy and has a lady who loves him and takes good care of him. I think you’d like her.
Sarah and Deb and Stacie are doing great, too, and I know you’d be crazy about your new great-grandson Justin. He’s spoiled rotten already, thanks to me!
Nanny is well, although hardly able to get around anymore, thanks to her knees. Otherwise, she is quite healthy.
If you see a chubby calico cat carrying a little pink ball around, that’s Leaky. Please give her a hug for me and tell her how much I love her and miss her, too. I’m sure she’ll recognize you and will stay with you and Garfie and Silly. Give them a hug, too!
