Ruth's Genealogy

“And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.”

I haven’t done much research in the past month or so. First my Aunt Jan was very ill and with my nursing background, I tried to help out the family as much as I could. Truly a labor of love. I was very glad to be able to help.

Then, as occasionally happens, I’ve just not been in the mood for genealogy lately. I go through periods like that sometimes, just gotta get away and do something else.

So, what have I been doing? Well, nothing in particular actually. Just routine life things. Taking care of my new grandson JJ when I get the chance, spending time with my granddaughter Stacie, who has really developed into a Super Big Sissy. I’m really proud of her! She’s very good with her just-turned-3-months-old little brother.

We have had about 6″ of rain in the past 3 days around my house and the weather has been almost cool, so I’ve had my a/c off and the windows open as much as possible. I even had to put a quilt on my bed last night! (I’m pretty cold-natured :) ). So, I’ve just been enjoying family and weather. Summer is about over in Texas, which is really grounds for a celebration!

And now I’m waiting for my daughter and grandson to come over, then we’re going baby-stuff shopping. But I expect to be back in the thick of genealogy things very soon!
