Ruth's Genealogy

“And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.”

For those folks out there who have WordPress blogs, have you ever tried to post an image as a thumbnail only to have it actually appear as a full-sized image that takes up the entire page? You can still click on the image to view it, but it will appear in the blog post as only half an image, and makes the post look really congested and cluttered. I have had that problem occasionally, and resizing the image doesn’t help, either. A little bug in WordPress, I suppose

So this morning I opened a Flicker account, uploaded the Death Certificates to it, and then added them here as thumbnails. All very simple to do, and the results are exactly what I wanted. I have previously used PhotoBucket, but Flicker is much simpler, so I’ll probably use it in the future.

Yes, I find the Flickr is the ONLY way to upload images to WP without me getting very frustrated! Also I like the Picnik editing that you can use through Flickr, too.
