Ruth's Genealogy

“And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.”

I have been busy this week with my Turner family research. I have been reviewing each person in my Family Tree Legends database and making sure that all sources are in place and correctly documented. I have also been adding images to each person’s file. As I go from one person to another, I occasionally refer back to another database. When I get there, I frequently find something I have left out, such as a census record or photograph. It’s rather frustrating and pretty time-consuming to find these omissions and have to stop what I am doing to update that file. My solution? Create a checklist for each ancestor’s database and file, a simple form that I can use with each person as I go through their information. That will be my project for this next week.
I have also been creating more web pages and uploading photos and documents for my Turner folks. A busy job!
