I have been working this morning on editing the several digital photos of Dr. N. B. Kennedy’s obit into a glued-together single image, 2 actually. The image from the Hillsboro Mirror that was microfilmed wasn’t of really great quality (only 111 years old!), blurry and dark in some views, so I took several photos. Then I merged them all into 2 columns, like they were in the newspaper originally. Finally got that done, then I updated his obit in his footnote.com story page. And I’m really hoping beyond hope that one of the unidentified photos that my cousin Susan sent to me is the camera-shy Dr. Kennedy! One in particular looks very promising, as the photo is from Hillsboro and looks to be about the right time period. What do you think?

I think it would be great if that was the doctor himself! I wonder if he would have applied for a US passport (sometimes they have photos attached thugh not the earlier ones) – they are at Ancestry as you probably know. I found some photos of realtives whom I had never seen before, which was really nice.
