Working on those Bennett boys

The James Bennett family from San Saba is a big one: 12 kids. I have been going through my records for each child, mostly census at this point. One son, Thomas, was a prominent physician in 1900 Austin. Another son, Albert was a deputy sheriff in San Saba and also a rancher in Montana. There was even a “Butch-Cassidy-and-the-Sundance-Kid”-style blacksheep of the family, James Bennett, Jr. He apparently killed a man in San Saba, then escaped town, possibly with the assistance of brother Albert, went to Montana, robbed a few banks there, went to Canada where he robbed a few more banks, and eventually returned to Montana, where he was finally killed robbing his last bank! Pretty exciting!
Also, I need to update my website, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. A big pain in the rear, actually! I think I’ll try to update it as I complete each surname. So that will be my plan activity for tomorrow…
